Inverted Bucket Steam Traps

Steam used for secondary heating like coils, vessels, heat exchangers etc, generate a lot of condensate post heat transfer. This large quantity condensate can handled by the Inverted Bucket Trap. This condensate has a substantial heat component with cost tagged to it. Also this is treated and pure water and can be used as feed water for its boiler, saving the cost of heating, water bill and treatment chemicals. Therefore it makes sense to recycle / reuse this condensate. This function is also done by the Inverted Bucket Trap which works on the principle of Buoyancy, (density difference of Water and Steam). The rise in condensate level fills and envelopes the bucket causing it to sink which open the mechanically linked valve and discharges the condensate, and reverse, when the level of condensate drops steam enters the bucket, causes the flotation of the bucket which close the valve and stops condensate discharge & traps the live steam.

Double Orifice Float Trap Module

Steam has two different kind of heat : The Latent heat and the Sensible heat. Whereas condensate has only sensible heat. This condensate must be removed as soon as it is formed, because it hampers the efficient heat transfer and leads to water hammer phenomenon due to hot water (having more Specific Gravity) that moves with high velocity of steam (8 to 10 times higher than water), carrying enough momentum to rupture pipes, damaging the plant pipelines and piping equipments. Hence, need to remove condensate from steam main and trap steam. This is done by steam trap.

Intelligent Trap Valve Station (ITVS)

This unit offers a compact one piece solution, with inbuilt Piston Valves and Universal Connection for Steam Traps, replacing the conventional complex & elaborate Trap Modules.

A compact combination of valves and trap performing all the functions of a steam Trap Module, permitting discharge of condensate as well as maintenance of the Traps as and when required.

Based of the function desired, the Trap Valve Station can be fitted with a Thermodynamic, Thermostatic or an Inverted Bucket Steam Trap, by means of a Universal Connector for highly efficient performance.

Pressure Reducing Station (PRS)

The advantage of using Steam as a Heat Transfer Media in processes, apart from it being cheap and reusable, is that controlling of one Parameter allows all the other parameters to be controlled automatically.

Steam when heated, leads to an increase in its Temperature, corresponding increase in Pressure, its Sensible heat, and its Total heat, but a reduction in the Latent heat and its specific Volume.
